Passwords are not stored in plain text. Passwords are protected using secure password hashing.

When you purchase a paid course or other paid service through the app, payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers such as Razorpay, as applicable.

The app and our backend do not store your complete card number, UPI PIN, banking password, or other payment authentication credentials.

We may receive and retain transaction-related information such as:

  • order ID;
  • payment or transaction ID;
  • payment status;
  • amount paid;
  • purchase details; and
  • related course enrollment information.

Payment providers may separately collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policies.

E. Website Information

F. App Technical Information

The current Student App does not use a dedicated analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or crash-reporting SDK.

The application and backend may nevertheless process limited technical information that is necessary for normal operation, security, abuse prevention, and service delivery, such as IP address information used for rate-limiting and security controls.

The website and app may display or embed educational videos hosted on YouTube.

When you interact with YouTube content, YouTube or Google may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

The Student App primarily uses YouTube for educational video playback and does not itself collect your YouTube account credentials.

YouTube hosts or provides embedded educational video content.

Our application may use hosting, database, object-storage, security, authentication, and other infrastructure services necessary to operate the platform.

What Happens After a Deletion Request

A deletion request is processed through our account-deletion workflow.

When deletion is completed, the account is anonymized or deleted and associated sessions are revoked, subject to information that we are legally or legitimately required to retain.

Deletion may result in loss of access to:

  • purchased or enrolled courses;
  • learning progress;
  • test history; and
  • other account-associated services.

Certain transaction or financial records may be retained where necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or other legitimate obligations. Where such information is retained, it will be limited to the purpose and period required or reasonably justified.

12. Children’s and Student Privacy

The Polity Guru is intended for students, including higher-secondary students.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

The current Student App is designed for Class 11 and Class 12 students and is not specifically directed to children under 13.
